Anna Sui

Anna Sui is an independently owned New York label founded by the Detroit-raised, Parsons-trained designer of the same name, who staged her first runway show in 1991 and took the CFDA Perry Ellis Award for New Talent that year. Collections blend Victorian and 1960s-70s references with rock-and-roll styling: printed babydoll and prairie dresses, embroidered blouses, beaded knits and tailored coats in clashing patterns. The company designs from its Manhattan studio and licenses cosmetics, fragrance and accessories, with a deep retail base in Japan and wider Asia.
