BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE is the accessories label of Japan's ISSEY MIYAKE INC., launched as a standalone brand with the autumn/winter 2010 collection after the triangle-mesh concept first appeared on the early-2000s Bilbao bag under Pleats Please. Bags are built from grids of PVC triangles stitched to mesh, so flat panels shift into faceted three-dimensional shapes as they fill. Core lines include Lucent totes, Prism, Kuru and Rock pouches, plus the injection-moulded Dazzle series. Design continues in-house in Tokyo following founder Issey Miyake's death in 2022.
