Câbleami

Câbleami is a Kobe-based Japanese label founded in 2008 by designers Shuji and Tomoka Sadamori, specializing almost entirely in headwear. The name combines the Aran cable knitting pattern with "ami," meaning knit in Japanese and friend in French. The brand develops its own yarns and fabrics, producing watch caps, berets, bucket hats and six-panel caps in Japan using cotton, linen, wool and cashmere. Designs reinterpret early-twentieth-century American and European workwear silhouettes with restrained, contemporary proportions. It stocks internationally through Todd Snyder, Merci and independent menswear retailers.
