Chubbies

Chubbies makes men's short-inseam shorts, swim trunks, performance polos and casual apparel built around weekend, tailgate and lake culture, with loud prints and patriotic motifs. Four Stanford graduates founded it in 2011; it sells direct-to-consumer, through its own stores and via retailers including Dick's Sporting Goods. Solo Brands acquired Chubbies in September 2021 for roughly $130 million and still owns it. Chubbies grew sales 12.2% in Q4 2024, while Solo Brands issued going-concern warnings, was delisted from the NYSE in 2025, and drew inbound interest in selling Chubbies.
