Cockpit USA builds American-made military flight jackets from New York. Attorney, pilot and vintage-gear collector Jeff Clyman launched the business in 1975 as Avirex Ltd., later trading under the Cockpit USA name he used for his mail-order catalog. The family-run company reproduces A-2, G-1 and B-3 jackets to original government contract specifications, has supplied US military branches since 1978, and dressed films including Top Gun. Alongside leather and sheepskin outerwear it offers MA-1 and other nylon flight jackets, patched flight suits, tees and headwear, sold direct and through heritage stockists.
