Furla
Furla is a family-controlled Italian leather goods maker founded in Bologna in 1927 and still led by the Furlanetto family. It concentrates on accessible-luxury handbags, small leather goods, footwear and accessories, built around structured saffiano-style leather and bright seasonal colour, sold through several hundred directly operated and franchised stores plus wholesale. The business remains financially strained: its US subsidiary filed for Chapter 11 in 2020, its Canadian arm entered bankruptcy in 2023, and the group pursued debt restructuring in 2024 after a 27 million euro loss on 2022 revenue of 186 million euros.
