Garrett Leight California Optical (GLCO) designs optical frames and sunglasses in acetate and metal from Los Angeles, where the brand was founded in Venice in 2010. Founder Garrett Leight is the son of Oliver Peoples co-founder Larry Leight and worked at his father's company until 2009 before starting his own label. Core silhouettes such as the Kinney, Wilson and Hampton rework mid-century American shapes with thin rims and light construction. The Leights also run the higher-priced sister label Mr. Leight, alongside GLCO's own optical shops.
