Ginger and Smart
Ginger & Smart is a Sydney womenswear label founded in 2002 by sisters Alexandra and Genevieve Smart, known for occasion dresses, tailored blazers and desk-to-dinner separates in printed silks and drapey jersey. The sisters sold a majority stake to Alceon Group in 2019, and the brand traded under Alquemie Group, entering a restructuring administration in 2022 that closed its Bondi Junction and Strand Arcade stores. In May 2025 Alquemie sold Ginger & Smart, alongside SurfStitch, to Best Markets Pty Ltd, which placed both into administration; the label's site has since shown a maintenance page.
