What to know about glerups

glerups makes felted wool indoor footwear from northern Denmark. Craftswoman Nanny Glerup felted her first wool boots in the early 1990s using fleece from her own Gotland sheep, and the hobby became a company in 1993, now run by co-owners Jesper Glerup and Allan Timm. The line covers three silhouettes — slip-on, shoe and boot — in 100% natural wool with chrome-free calfskin or natural rubber soles, priced roughly $105–$160. Production runs through the brand's own Romanian factory, with wool sourced from ZQ-certified New Zealand growers and a Cradle to Cradle certified collection.
