Jack Wills is a British clothing label founded in 1999 in Salcombe, Devon, by university friends Peter Williams and Robert Shaw, built around a "University Outfitters" identity of collegiate, country-weekend preppy dressing. Its range centres on logo hoodies and sweatshirts, rugby and polo shirts, cable-knit jumpers, chinos, loungewear and pyjamas, using Blackwatch tartan and pink-and-navy branding. Mike Ashley's Frasers Group bought the business out of administration in 2019 for about £12.8 million and has since cut the estate to roughly two dozen UK stores, prioritising e-commerce and wholesale.
