GANT was founded in New Haven, Connecticut by Ukrainian-born shirtmaker Bernard Gantmacher and his sons, supplying Yale students and shaping Ivy League style. Now headquartered in Stockholm and owned by Swiss group Maus Frères through MF Brands, it sells preppy sportswear in roughly 70 markets: oxford button-downs with locker loops, rugby shirts, chinos, knitwear and shield-logo sweatshirts. Fredrik Malm became CEO on 1 December 2025, succeeding Patrik Söderström, with a strategy of elevating collections, expanding retail and bringing footwear back in-house from spring/summer 2027.
