John Hardy

John Hardy makes hand-crafted sterling silver and gold jewelry at its workshop compound in Mambal, Bali, where artisans use traditional Balinese techniques including chain weaving, granulation and hand-carving. Core collections include Classic Chain, the Naga dragon motif, Dot and Asli. Founded in 1975 by Canadian designer John Hardy, the company is now headquartered in New York; private equity firm L Catterton has held the majority stake since 2014, and Reed Krakoff, previously of Tiffany & Co. and Coach, became creative chairman and minority shareholder in 2022, directing design.
