Kahala
Kahala makes aloha shirts in Honolulu, where George Brangier and Nat Norfleet founded it as Branfleet in 1936; it is Hawaii's oldest operating apparel company and among the first to mass-produce and export aloha shirts. In-house textile artists draw new prints and revive archive designs, screen-printed on rayon and cotton broadcloth, with most production still done locally. The line covers men's, women's and kids' matching styles plus performance polos. Recent collaborations include Todd Snyder, KoAloha 'ukulele, Pacific Whale Foundation and The Nature Conservancy Hawaii.
