Kawaii NOLA is a New Orleans retailer of Japanese-inspired "cute culture" apparel, accessories and gifts, founded in 2013 by Adam and Kanako Richard. It opened as a boutique at 3512 Magazine Street and closed that storefront in 2019, operating primarily online since while vending at anime conventions and pop-culture markets. The assortment leans on graphic tees, hoodies, plush, pins, stationery, wigs, costume pieces and character goods drawn from anime, Harajuku street style and kawaii mascots, with most items priced under $50.
