What to know about Leon Emanuel Blanck

Leon Emanuel Blanck is a German avant-garde label founded in 2012, originally studio-based in Heidelberg and now producing from its Berlin atelier. The designer works in three dimensions on the body under a concept he calls "Anfractuous Distortion," generating asymmetric, organic seams and darts that follow human anatomy. Collections span sculptural jackets, distorted trousers, bags and hand-built sneakers in leather, carbon fibre, Kevlar and resin-treated materials, some requiring roughly 70 hours of handwork. Recent seasons include the FW25 "Zenon" collection, built partly from deconstructed Alpinestars racing gear. Sold via its own site, HLorenzo and Farfetch.
