Nordstrom is a Seattle-based fashion retailer running full-line department stores, off-price Nordstrom Rack locations, and a large e-commerce business. Founded in 1901 as a downtown Seattle shoe store, it trades on service, footwear depth, and a mix of contemporary and designer labels alongside private brands like Zella, BP, and Open Edit. The Nordstrom family and Mexican retail group El Puerto de Liverpool completed an all-cash take-private at $24.25 per share on May 20, 2025, delisting it from the NYSE. Erik and Pete Nordstrom are co-CEOs.
