What to know about Peregrine
Peregrine is the own-label knitwear and outerwear brand of J.G. Glover & Co., a Glover-family manufacturer tracing back to hand-frame knitter Thomas Glover in 1796; the Peregrine name was introduced in 1956 and the business is now run by eighth-generation managing director Tom Glover. It knits fully fashioned 5- and 7-gauge British wool and merino jumpers at its own Manchester factory, with design and HQ in Bristol, and adds waxed jackets, overshirts and trousers. Signature pieces include the Ford crew, Foxton quarter-zip and Hudson Aran. Independent and actively trading.
