What to know about PORTER-YOSHIDA & CO.

PORTER is the flagship label of Yoshida & Co., the Tokyo bag maker founded by Kichizo Yoshida in 1935 and still independently run by the Yoshida family under president Yukihiro Yoshida. Production stays in Japan, where one artisan finishes each piece under the house motto of putting heart and soul into every stitch. The 1983 Tanker series, cut from a three-layer nylon fabric inspired by MA-1 flight jackets, remains the signature alongside Force and Heat. Collaborators include Supreme, COMME des GARCONS and JJJJound. The brand marked 90 years with a first New York pop-up in 2025.
