Rachel Comey

Rachel Comey is an independent, founder-led New York fashion label started in 2001 by American designer Rachel Comey. It launched as menswear out of the city's downtown arts scene, gaining early attention when David Bowie wore her hand-painted shirts, then shifted its focus to womenswear, footwear and accessories. Collections combine custom-developed textiles and prints with relaxed, architectural tailoring, wide-leg trousers, utilitarian dresses and sculptural platform shoes and clogs. Comey still owns the business outright and sells through her own stores and site plus international stockists.
