Shawna Wu

Shawna Wu is the namesake New York label of Taiwanese-born, Singapore-raised designer Shawna Wu, who launched it in 2021 after studying at Parsons School of Design. Working from Brooklyn, she builds lingerie-adjacent garments around hand craft: hand-knotted and handwoven cotton, silk and lace bras, corsets, tops and skirts finished with fine beading, plus carved jade used as ornament and hardware. Collections such as Bound draw on Chinese textile traditions and ritual while exploring desire and sensuality. Pieces are made in small runs and stocked by SSENSE.
