Solgaard

Solgaard is a New York travel-goods company founded in 2016 by Norwegian-Canadian designer Adrian Solgaard. It builds hardside luggage, backpacks and duffels from Shore-Tex, a proprietary fabric made with recycled coastal and ocean-bound plastic, and funds plastic cleanup with each purchase. Its signature Carry-On Closet suitcase houses a collapsible shelf organizer and made Time's Best Inventions list in 2018; the Lifepack line adds solar charging and lockable zippers. The independent company remains founder-led and has run Reg A crowdfunding raises, reporting over $200 million in lifetime revenue.
