SPY Optic designs performance sunglasses, snow and moto goggles, helmets and prescription eyewear from Carlsbad, California, founded in 1994 by action-sports entrepreneurs including Mark Simo, Brian Simo and Beaver Theodosakis. Product centers on Happy Lens technology, which filters short-wave blue light while transmitting long-wave light, plus the brand's cross logo and wraparound frames. Bollé Brands, backed by A&M Capital Europe, bought SPY in September 2019; Safilo Group then completed its acquisition of SPY+ and Serengeti from Bollé on 1 July 2026 for $24.6 million.
