Stetson
Stetson makes Western and dress headwear under a name John B. Stetson established in Philadelphia in 1865, beginning with the wide-brimmed Boss of the Plains. The original company stopped manufacturing in 1970 and went bankrupt in 1986; Hatco, Inc. bought the manufacturing rights in 1987 and has produced Stetson hats at its Garland, Texas plant since 2004, alongside Resistol and Charlie 1 Horse. Current output spans fur-felt cowboy hats, the Open Road fedora and straw styles, plus licensed apparel, boots and fragrance.
