Tao Comme Des Garçons
Tao Comme des Garçons is a Comme des Garçons womenswear line designed by Tao Kurihara, a Central Saint Martins graduate who joined the company in 1998 and previously worked under Junya Watanabe. It debuted in Paris for Autumn/Winter 2005, closed after Spring/Summer 2011, and returned when Comme des Garçons rebranded its tricot line as Tao for Spring/Summer 2022, with Kurihara still designing. Collections are single-theme studies in knitwear, lace and tulle: A-line dresses, layered volume, crochet and lingerie-inflected detailing, shown in Tokyo.
