TREW Gear makes waterproof-breathable ski and snowboard outerwear designed for wet Pacific Northwest conditions. Tripp Frey and twin brothers John and Chris Pew started the company in 2008 in Hood River, Oregon, around a single snow bib. It relocated to Portland in 2015 after raising $1.6 million and abandoning wholesale for direct-to-consumer selling.
