YUME YUME
YUME YUME is an Amsterdam footwear label from designers Eva Korsten and Dave Hendriks, named after the Japanese word for dream. It reworks the traditional wooden geta sandal into sculptural, cartoonish silhouettes, with the Geta Boot, Truck Boot and Horse Boot as recurring signatures. Collections favour chunky moulded soles, mono-material construction and vegan or recycled materials, and are presented as design objects rather than seasonal drops. Pieces sell through SSENSE, Nubian in Tokyo and Club21, alongside the brand's own site.
