99%IS— is the punk-rooted label of Seoul designer Park Jong Woo, who works as Bajowoo and is described as running South Korea's first self-declared punk brand. Collections centre on hardware-heavy construction: safety pins, straps, studs, zips, tartan, distressed knits, leather and vinyl outerwear, graphic tees and strap-laden trousers. Bajowoo fronts the brand himself, recognisable by a cut surgical mask, smeared eye make-up and dyed hair, and has staged guerrilla-style shows in unconventional Seoul venues, including a hotel staff car park announced 24 hours in advance during Seoul Fashion Week.
