ASSOS

ASSOS develops performance road cycling apparel in Ticino, Switzerland. Founder Toni Maier-Moussa, a Swiss engineer, built one of the first carbon bicycle frames and helped introduce Lycra cycling shorts in the 1970s, alongside early aero bars and sublimated jerseys. The range centers on bib shorts with proprietary chamois inserts, plus jerseys, base layers, rain and winter shells, and skinsuits, tiered across lines such as Equipe RS, Mille and Dyora. The Maier family sold a majority stake in 2015 to an investor group led by Philip Duff; the brand remains independent and premium-priced.
