Baby Phat is the women's label Kimora Lee Simmons launched in 1999 as the counterpart to Russell Simmons' Phat Farm, defining Y2K glamour with low-rise denim, baby tees, fur-trimmed bombers and the silver cat logo. Kellwood bought parent Phat Fashions in 2004 and Simmons exited in 2010; she reacquired the brand in 2019 and, after capsules with Forever 21 and Puma, relaunched it independently in September 2023. The direct-to-consumer line now spans velour tracksuits, denim, bodycon dresses, sets and logo tees, with Simmons serving as chief executive.
