Bass Pro Shops is an American outdoor retailer founded by angler Johnny Morris, who started by selling fishing tackle from the back of his father's Springfield, Missouri store. It stays privately held by Morris and runs large destination stores alongside Cabela's, which it acquired in 2017. Apparel comes mainly from in-house labels including RedHead, Ascend and Johnny Morris Signature: flannel shirts, camo hunting layers, vented fishing shirts, work boots and graphic tees. Its green-and-white bass logo trucker cap circulates widely as casual Americana.
