Bergfabel is an Italian designer label founded by Klaus Plank, who works alongside his partner Barbara from a base in Lucca, near Florence. The name combines the German words for "mountain" and "fable," referencing Plank's upbringing in South Tyrol, the Alpine region where Austria and Italy meet. Collections reinterpret traditional Tyrolean workwear and folk dress through soft, generously cut tailoring, day dresses and outerwear in natural fibers, handwoven fabrics and muted blues and checks.
