Bleu de chauffe

Bleu de Chauffe makes handcrafted leather bags and accessories in the Aveyron region of southern France, founded in 2009 by Alexandre Rousseau and Thierry Batteux and named after the blue jackets worn by French factory workers. Its workshop near Millau reinterprets 20th-century trade bags — postman, plumber, doctor, reporter and writer models — with laptop compartments and modern proportions. Artisans build each piece start to finish using vegetable-tanned leather and organic cotton canvas, and the brand repairs its products. Wallets, belts and totes round out the range.
