What to know about Chrome Industries

Chrome Industries builds urban utility gear for cyclists, messengers and commuters. Founded in 1995 in Boulder, Colorado and now headquartered in Portland, Oregon, it began with a Juki sewing machine, military-grade truck tarpaulin and Cordura, and a messenger bag closed by a salvaged seatbelt buckle. That swappable buckle still anchors the line, alongside welded waterproof rolltops, backpacks, slings, cycling-ready footwear and workwear-adjacent apparel. Bags are weather-resistant, largely recycled 1050D nylon and carry a lifetime warranty. Chrome Hub stores in US and Japanese cities offer custom, locally sewn bags.
