Dunlop Protective Footwear makes rubber and polyurethane wellington boots for professional users in agriculture and fishing, food processing, construction, and oil, gas and mining. Its core Purofort line uses a lightweight insulating PU compound, alongside PVC ranges and steel- or composite-toe safety models; colour-coded hygiene boots serve food plants. The company runs plants in the Netherlands, Portugal and the United States and sells through distributors in over 50 countries. In September 2024 EQT agreed to sell its majority stake to Dutch investor Gilde Equity Management.
