Farfetch

Farfetch runs a global online marketplace for luxury fashion, connecting shoppers with independent boutiques and brands selling designer ready-to-wear, sneakers, bags and accessories, alongside pre-owned and streetwear-leaning labels. José Neves founded the company in London in 2007. South Korean e-commerce group Coupang acquired Farfetch's business and assets on 31 January 2024 for roughly $208 million in consideration plus emergency financing, averting insolvency. Under Coupang, Farfetch has divested Off-White, Palm Angels and Violet Grey, closed side ventures, cut staff and logistics complexity, and returned to quarterly profit while refocusing on the core marketplace.
