What to know about FDMTL

Boro patchwork is the signature

The house look is boro patchwork and sashiko stitching reworked onto selvedge denim, indigo shirting, outerwear and accessories rather than plain five-pocket jeans.

Made in Japan, sold worldwide

Production stays in Japan, with an Ebisu flagship in Tokyo, direct sales through fdmtl.com and heavy export to overseas stockists.

Started from a fit problem

Gaku Tsuyoshi launched the label in 2005 after failing to find jeans with the fits and washes he wanted, so cut and wash drive the range.
