Guidi is an Italian leather label built around a tannery in Pescia, Tuscany, where hides are tanned and dyed in-house. It is known for unlined boots, derbies and sneakers made by reverse construction in horse, calf, kangaroo and buffalo leather, catalogued under numbered references such as 788, 988 and PL1. Bags and belts share the same soft, wrinkled finishes. Colour is hand-applied and intended to crease and patinate with wear. The tannery also supplies leather to other designers, and product sells mainly through avant-garde retailers.
