Hender Scheme

Hender Scheme is a Tokyo leather label founded in 2010 by Ryo Kashiwazaki, a former philosophy student who trained under local shokunin before launching a genderless design practice. Its Manual Industrial Products line hand-builds recognizable sneaker silhouettes in untreated vegetable-tanned leather that darkens and patinas with wear. The range now spans footwear, bags, accessories, apparel and homeware, alongside collaborations with adidas Originals (from 2024), Timberland and G-SHOCK. The brand remains independent and produces in its own atelier, selling direct and through specialist retailers worldwide.
