Krakatau

Krakatau is a technical outerwear label founded in 1999 in St. Petersburg, Russia. It builds parkas, shells, liners and utility layers around membrane and softshell fabrics, taped seams, articulated sleeves, concealed pockets and adjustable hoods, in a muted palette of black, grey and olive shaped by the region's cold, wet climate rather than seasonal trend. The company has run flagship stores in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Amsterdam and wholesaled to several hundred stockists across Europe and Asia, and released a capsule with cybersecurity firm Kaspersky in 2020.
