Maharishi Socks
maharishi is a London label founded in 1994 by Hardy Blechman, built around pacifist reworkings of military clothing. Its signature Snopants, adapted from army snow trousers, sit alongside utility outerwear, embroidered sukajan-style jackets, and tiger, dragon and bonsai motifs. The house develops its own camouflage prints, an interest Blechman documented in the reference book DPM: Disruptive Pattern Material. Production emphasises organic cotton and hemp and long-wearing construction. The brand operates a London flagship and sells through retailers including SSENSE and END.
