Nicholson & Nicholson

Nicholson & Nicholson, also styled NICO., is a Japanese label founded in 2007 by husband-and-wife designers Yusuke and Yuka Nakagawa, run under Osaka's Nakagawa Co., Ltd. It began as a menswear line and shifted to womenswear that retains a menswear vocabulary: structured lines, oversized silhouettes, classic palettes and natural materials. Traditional pattern making and sewing techniques anchor the collections, with garments made by experienced tailors and seamstresses in Osaka. The label stays deliberately small and sells through independent select shops in Japan, the US and Europe, including Namu Shop; typical pieces run near $200.
