Orgueil is a Japanese heritage menswear label operating under Studio D'Artisan, the Osaka Five denim house founded in 1979. Designed by Hidehiro Nishijima, the collection imagines the wardrobe of early-20th-century French tailors who emigrated to America, pairing European small-town tailoring with rugged US workwear. Everything is made in Japan using vintage-spec fabrics, period detailing and hardware: chore and sack coats, wool trousers, band-collar shirts, knitwear and selvedge denim. Garments are built to patinate, and are stocked by specialist retailers including Clutch Cafe, Cultizm and Blue in Green.
