PH5 is a New York womenswear label founded in 2014 by Wei Lin, whose family owns a Chinese knitwear factory, with Parsons-trained designer Mijia Zhang. The brand builds its collections almost entirely from knit: sculptural sweaters, cut-out dresses, twisted separates and matching sets in saturated colour, optical stripes and technical yarns. Designs are engineered on knitting machines rather than cut from fabric, minimising waste. Zoe Champion has served as creative director, bringing a ceramics background to the label's hand-crocheted, three-dimensional shapes. The label shows at New York Fashion Week and sells through SSENSE, Lane Crawford and Assembly New York.
