Rui

RUI is the namesake label of Chinese designer Rui Zhou, a 2018 Parsons graduate who launched the brand in 2019 and works between studios in New York and Shanghai. The line centers on machine-knit bodysuits, tanks and stockings built with cut-outs, sheer panels and pearl-strung straps that frame skin rather than cover it, often in pastel palettes. Zhou was among the nine finalists for the LVMH Prize and also runs RUIbuilt, a more distressed, deconstructed line. Sold through SSENSE and Assembly New York.
