Portland Leather Goods is a direct-to-consumer leather label founded in 2015 by Curtis Matsko, who started out stitching journals in a one-car garage in Portland's Sellwood neighborhood. Its range covers full-grain and pebbled-leather crossbody bags, totes, duffels, backpacks, wallets, belts and journals, cut in plain, hardware-light shapes and offered in an unusually broad spread of colors. The company sells largely through its own website, reports passing $100 million in sales, and competes on accessible pricing rather than luxury markups. Matsko remains founder and CEO.
