Redback Boot Company makes elastic-sided work and safety boots in Sydney, founded in 1989 by the Cloros family, whose bootmaking dates to 1927. Its Alexandria factory turns out roughly 650,000 pairs a year, including the pull-on Easy Escape (UBOK/UBBK) and the Terra military boot supplied to the Australian Defence Force. Styles offer steel or composite toes, oil- and slip-resistant TPU soles and a cushioned Comfort Cushion midsole. In December 2025, US firm Ares Management agreed to buy a majority stake, with managing director Matt Cloros retaining equity; the deal closes in early 2026.
