Blundstone
Blundstone makes elastic-sided Chelsea boots and work footwear from its base in Hobart, Tasmania, where John Blundstone and Sons was founded in 1870 and began using local leathers in 1878. The pull-on 500 series anchors a range that also covers steel-toe safety boots, thicker-soled Lug and All-Terrain styles, and shearling-lined winter models, all built on leather uppers, elastic gussets and shock-absorbing urethane soles. Production shifted offshore in the mid-2000s; the privately held company now manufactures in several countries and sells worldwide.
