Skull Skates
Skull Skates is an independent Canadian skateboard company started in April 1978 in Regina, Saskatchewan by brothers Rick and Peter "P.D." Ducommun, who first traded as Great North Country Skateboards before adopting P.D.'s skull logo. It grew out of P.D.'s Hot Shop, opened in Nanaimo, British Columbia in 1976, and now runs from Vancouver. Output centres on shaped and popsicle decks, wheels, hardware, and graphic T-shirts, hoodies and caps tied to hardcore punk artwork. Skullskates.com has sold direct since 1997; goods also reach independent Canadian skate shops.
