What to know about Soft Goods

Soft Goods is a Detroit knitwear factory and in-house label run by founder and sole owner Josh York from a historic brick building in Corktown. Its own line covers American sportswear basics: tees, longsleeves, sweatshirts, sweaters and pants in U.S. cotton and wool. The signature Heavyweight Tee is a boxy 9oz (305 GSM) jersey made from Texas-grown cotton, knit in North Carolina, then garment-washed and sewn in Detroit. The company also does private-label production for brands such as Shinola.
