What to know about STEL

A second act, not a debut

Astrid Andersen shut her London streetwear label in 2021 and restarted in Copenhagen in 2024, so the brand is new but the designer is not.

Tailoring built to move in

Andersen, an RCA menswear graduate, describes the clothes as tailoring you can skate in — trenches, wide Barrow trousers and open-side knits over formality.

Womenswear-led, modular, mid-to-high

The line is womenswear-first and organised around denim, tailoring and outerwear pieces meant to combine, with Copenhagen Fashion Week shows and END stocking it.

Brand facts

STEL is the Copenhagen-based label founded by Danish designer Astrid Andersen, who shelved her London-shown eponymous streetwear line in 2021 and launched STEL — Danish for "body" — at Copenhagen Fashion Week in August 2024. The womenswear-led brand builds a modular wardrobe around denim, tailoring and outerwear: wide "Barrow" leg trousers, asymmetric-hem poplin shirting, open-side knitwear and technical trench coats. Andersen, an RCA menswear graduate, frames it as tailoring you can skate in. STEL showed on-schedule at Copenhagen Fashion Week from February 2025 and is stocked at END.
